United to Offer Carrick plus 20 million for Milner

James Milner is hot property these days. A day after Manchester City's offered 25 million for the England midfielder's services, Manchester United have offered 20 million plus Michael Carrick.

Milner had a great season after Villa manager, Martin O' Neill moved the ex-Leeds and Newcastle player to the center of midfield. He is part of Fabio Capello's initial 30 man squad and is almost assured of his seat to South Africa.

Carrick has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford and Sir Alex Ferguson is hoping that by offering him would sweeten the deal for the Villains.

Aston Villa know that a good World Cup for Milner will bring his price even higher but they also realise that they are almost powerless against teams that have more money like the two Manchester clubs. Watch out for this space.
