Barcelona were saved from elimination by a Lionel Messi freekick. Kieve had taken the lead two minutes after kick off through a header from Artem Milevskiy. Xavi Hernandes then equalised for the defending champions after heading home a Eric Abidal cross on 33 minutes.
The win ensures the Blaugrana qualify for the knockout round and top of their group ahead of Italian champions, Internazionale FC.
