Ballack after Boateng's tackle during FA Cup final
Germany's captain, Michael Ballack is officially ruled out from Germany's World Cup squad after the German team's doctor verdict that he had torn ankle ligaments and will be out of action for 8 weeks.
He torn the ligaments after being tackled by Portsmouth midfielder Kevin Prince Boateng during the English FA Cup final last weekend. This is a big blow to Germany's World Cup chances as Ballack was in good form for this season.
To rub more salt to Ballack's disappointment, Boateng is included in Ghana's World Cup squad and is due to face Germany in the group stages.
