Inter Through Thanks to Mario Balotelli

Balotelli applauds the crowd at the Guiseppe Meazza

The Nerazzuri qualified second in their group behind group winners Barcelona. The Italian champions have to thank 19-year old Mario Balotelli for having a hand in both of the goals.

The first goal was after a storming run by captain, Javier Zanetti which the ball fell to Balotelli, who back heeled the ball to former Barcelona hitman, Samuel Eto'o. Eto'o thumped the ball unceremoniously into the Rubin Kazan's goal.

Balotelli then scored a screamer of a free-kick from 25 yards to ensure Inter qualify to the knockout stages two years in a row.
